Fri May 17, 2013
I wonder when the Makerbot company will demand that they collect the ad-revenues from people showing their creations that come from that specific 3d printer Is Bob Villa going to lose his ad revenues to Dremmel and Craftsmen because they make the router or screwdrivers that he uses in one of his vid …
Apple CEO wants lower taxes in exchange for job creation
Fri May 17, 2013
It's going to be very hard to convince me to having massive adjustments in the tax code for the sole purpose of large multinational institutions to re-patriate cash that they've worked tirelessly to offshore without paying taxes on it and simultaneously engineer domestic losses to further reduce the …
Wheel fails on NASA's Kepler probe, halting its search for alien planets
Wed May 15, 2013
Yeah...but continuing to invest ever-greater amounts of resources into this potentially fruitless pursuit will just leave us spinning our wheels ...or not
Navy's X-47B drone completes first carrier takeoffÂ
Tue May 14, 2013
In reply to: oldhamletman #3.2 Agreed, drone-craft of all sorts are going to revolutionize both the tactics and capabilities of the US armed services, but will also help to reduce the costs considerably! I don't think lay-people realize just how much it costs to keep a jet-pilot in ready-condition …
Still hatin' on the airlines? J.D. Power says they're getting better
Tue May 14, 2013
In reply to: rerere #2.3 I choose to ignore your anecdotal evidence in favor of GovHater's on purely arbitrary grounds /STATISTICS! I'm ready to start regulating our airlines again, I think it was a HUGE mistake to de-regulate those companies and their dramatic drop in quality, cutting every corner …

Tue May 14, 2013
At this point, the Democrats and Republicans are repugnant to me. The GOP needs to ditch peddling it's bigotry and superstitions, back away entirely from trickle-down, cease pushing the cut-taxes/increase-spending fiscal policy, and get back to pushing to breaking up mono/oligopolies and enacting st …
Used Fisker Karma EVs are the 'new Delorean' as prices tumble
Tue May 14, 2013
In reply to: crystal in Idaho #3 I think a major problem is that the government just simply handed money to a number of these groups without actually taking any controlling interest, installing an outside advisorial committee that tracked the business operations, consulted and reported findings reg …
Electric car maker Tesla defies skeptics
Mon May 13, 2013
In reply to: node4 #1.6 LOL, I do so enjoy how Ray and Ron alike don't seem to understand that Tesla is turning a profit and increasing sales. Someone is buying it. Many someone's in fact, and the number appears to be growing, and at a slightly greater rate than their present capacity can acc …
Where to get the best interest rates on your savings
Mon May 13, 2013
Nice, AmEx eh? I'll have to look into them. I've got a credit union for my checking and loans...I'm so happy to keep my business away from the large commercial banks, but I would like some better interest on the cash I insist on keeping largely liquid.
Student debt is a 'roadblock' to opportunity for millions, report says
Thu May 9, 2013
ProBusiness as soon as I saw "California" it all makes sense. I don't see how anybody can afford to live in California with their state income tax, high sales tax, high property taxes, huge social programs (requiring MORE taxes), high gasoline costs (due to regulations and gas taxes).
